CODE OF CONDUCT & RISK MANAGEMENT

All players in the Islington Netball leagues must adhere to the Islington Sports Ltd Code of Conduct. To view the full code of conduct please click the link at the bottom of this page.

Personal injury insurance is not provided by Islington Sports Ltd. If players want to be covered for personal injury they are advised to arrange their own personal injury insurance.

Players must consider themselves qualified / in a fit state to take part in our netball league, and must accept and assume responsibility for the risks and dangers of (serious) bodily injury whilst being involved in this activity. They must be aware that the netball games take place in venues accessed by the public and they are solely responsible for the safe-keeping of their belongings.

Islington Sports Ltd and the management and umpires do not accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury which may occur during or in relation to your participation in the netball league

Rules
  • Full netball rules can be downloaded here.

First Aid
  • Basic first aid supplies are available at both venues.

  • Professional medical staff should be contacted immediately if a player is seriously injured.

Alcohol
  • No alcohol is to be consumed at the courts.

  • Players who are deemed to be "under the influence" will be denied access to the court.

Blood Stoppage
  • Any player with signs of bleeding must leave the court immediately.

  • Such players are not to recommence playing until the bleeding has been completely stopped.

  • The blood spillage must be cleared before play continues.

Weather
  • This is an all-weather netball league played outdoors on all-weather surfaces. If players consider conditions to be unsafe for themselves, they should stop their participation.

Discrimination
  • Islington Netball will not tolerate any form of harassment or bullying, whether based on race, sex, disability, sexual orientation, religion, age, nationality, ethnic origin, marital status, working patterns or any other personal characteristic.

  • Players not adhering to this rule will be subject to the Code of Conduct process.
